“To cross a river, build a Kieu bridge / To have good children, love your teachers.” This folk verse has been deeply ingrained in the subconscious of every Vietnamese person, reminding us of the noble merit of teachers. And in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20th, every preschool teacher like me is filled with emotion, recalling beautiful memories and unforgettable feelings with my little angels.
The Sacred Meaning of November 20th in a Preschool Teacher’s Heart
As a preschool teacher with over 12 years of experience, I always feel grateful and proud to contribute to nurturing the future generations of our country. November 20th is not only an occasion for us to receive good wishes and bouquets of fresh flowers, but more importantly, it is an opportunity for each teacher to review the journey we have traveled, look back at the achievements we have made, and love and be proud of this meaningful “seed-sowing” profession even more.

From the Most Sincere Emotions…
Every autumn, my heart is filled with indescribable emotions. It’s the joy of witnessing the children eagerly preparing small, lovely gifts and innocent songs to give to their teachers. It’s the happiness of hearing innocent, pure wishes from the young hearts of the children. And above all, it’s the pride of witnessing the children’s growth day by day, moment by moment.
I remember my first day in this profession, how bewildered and worried I was. The first lectures, the first activities with the children were all major challenges for me. But then, it was the love, the innocence, and the purity of the children that gave me the motivation and belief to overcome all difficulties.
… To a Heartwarming Speech
And on this special November 20th, I want to send my sincerest thanks to the parents – those who have trusted and entrusted their “treasures” to us. Thank you for your cooperation, sharing, and companionship over the past time.
My deepest gratitude goes to the school board, my colleagues who have always stood side by side, supported, and encouraged me throughout the journey.
And finally, to my dear students – my endless source of motivation, I send my best wishes. May you always be obedient, study well, and grow up in joy and happiness.

Because, for every preschool teacher, seeing the bright smiles on the children’s faces every day, witnessing their growth and maturity is the greatest reward. And I believe that with love for the profession, enthusiasm, and dedication, each of us preschool teachers will continue to steadfastly walk on this glorious and proud path of “nurturing people”.
