Effective Early Childhood Education Tips

Giao tiếp và thấu hiểu tâm lý trẻ mầm non

“Raising children reveals the depth of parents’ love,” this saying truly resonates, doesn’t it, parents? Nurturing a child, especially in their preschool years, is indeed a challenging yet incredibly rewarding journey. Today, with over 12 years of experience teaching preschool and elementary children, I want to share some early childhood education tips and insights, hoping to assist you in nurturing the future generation of our nation.

Understanding the Preschooler’s Perspective

Preschoolers are like blank canvases, innocent and pure. They absorb everything around them naturally and quickly. Therefore, creating a healthy and positive learning and playing environment is crucial. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a leading early childhood education expert at Hoa Sen Kindergarten in Hanoi, emphasized in her book “Secrets to Raising Preschoolers”: “The preschool stage is the golden period for a child’s development. Create an environment filled with love and encouragement for them.”

Effective Preschool Education Approaches

There are many different preschool education methods, each with its own advantages. However, in my experience, the “learn through play, play to learn” method is the most effective. Let children freely explore, experience, and learn through games. For example, when teaching children about colors, instead of simply reciting color names, have them play games sorting objects by color. This way, children will absorb knowledge more naturally and easily. Ms. Pham Thi Huong, principal of Be Ngoan Kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City, also shared: “Children learn best when they are having fun and experiencing things.”

Communicating and Understanding Children’s Psychology

“Teach your child from a young age,” our ancestors taught us. Educating children is not just about imparting knowledge but also about teaching them how to behave, communicate, and develop character. Listen to and understand your child’s psychology. Don’t impose your thoughts on them. Ms. Tran Thi Mai, a child psychology expert, shared in her book “The Inner World of Preschoolers”: “Each child is a unique individual, respect their differences.”

A Little Anecdote

I will always remember a story about a very shy boy in my class. He was always afraid to speak in front of the class. I patiently encouraged and motivated him, creating opportunities for him to express himself. Gradually, he became more confident and turned into an active and lively student. This story showed me that love and patience are the keys to opening the door to a child’s soul. According to Vietnamese spiritual beliefs, children are gifts from heaven. Let’s love and cherish these little angels.
